In the Thomas Dale 2018-2019 school year, wrestling got a new coach, Darrin Zoller, who led the boys to new victories.
“Wrestling season has been an amazing learning experience for all of the wrestlers on the team,” said senior Jacob Grabham.
Even with a new coach, Thomas Dale wrestling has always had a loyal manager, senior Emily Whitt.
“My favorite part about being a manager is watching the wrestling matches,” Emily said. “I get to see the team come together as one and cheer on the teammates wrestling. It just shows how ‘uknighted’ we are.”
The boys had lots of victories and stuck it out for each other with the few losses.
“The season has been great,” Emily said. “We have some returning wrestlers from last year and new ones this year. Everyone is doing their best.”
According to senior Jacob Grabham, the season was a successful one.
“As a whole, the team has grown a lot,” he said. “I have had a lot of fun, and I am glad to be a part of the team.”
